Whilst visiting The Meadows Shopping Centre
- We provide three step free, street level entrances to allow easy access.
- Automatic doors are in place for ease of our visitors.
- There are accessible toilets on the ground floor, situated next to the lift. Further male and female toilets can be found on the first floor and can be accessed via the lift. Both have an ambient accessible cubicle.
- Access to the lift is on a flat level suitable for wheelchair users, mobility scooters, and those who find it hard to walk on uneven surfaces. It can be found adjacent to the accessible toilets.
- The Meadows is a dementia-friendly shopping centre. The centre management team and selected store retail staff are trained on how to be aware of, accommodate, and help visitors with dementia.
- Our closest car park (Q-Park, adjacent to the shopping centre) has 14 disabled parking bays. For more information, please click here
In Chelmsford city centre
- Meadows Shopmobility is a registered charity which hires out motorised scooters, and manual wheelchairs to enable people to visit Chelmsford city centre. They are located on the ground floor of the Q-Park multi-storey car park. They operate independently of The Meadows Shopping Centre. To find out more about their services, click here.
