Why not showcase your talent and play us a tune?

Why not showcase your talent and play us a tune?

Thanks to local artist Lynn Excell, The Meadows Shopping Centre now has a community piano! It is free to play during the centre opening hours, so why not take a turn to tickle the ivories and entertain shoppers as they pass by? Children can play when they are accompanied by an adult.

This initiative has a great community story behind it. The piano was rescued from likely destruction and kindly donated by Thriftwood  College. Lynn Excell and volunteers from Chelmsford Creative Collective at Transition pulled together to give it a quirkly and brightly painted creative makeover giving it a whole new personality!

The piano will be sited in different parts of the mall at The Meadows, so see where you can spot it! Everyone involved is looking forward to the sounds of music, from pop to classical and everything in between. You never know what it might be the start of!
